A former Mintlaw man has collected his memories of growing up in the village and published them in a new book.
This is the second publication for Doug Simpson, who now lives in Fraserburgh.
‘Fan I Wis a Kid in Mintlaw’ follows on from ‘Puddick Steels in the Stovies’, a collection of doric stories and poems.
The book is full of Doug’s own recollections of growing up in Mintlaw during the 1950s and 60s.
There is also a selection of photos inside, submitted by Doug and his friends, which are sure to bring back many happy memories.
Doug’s book is on sale now at the Happy Plant Garden Centre in Mintlaw, R & S Dyga in Fraserburgh and M & B’s on Queen Street, Peterhead.
