The Shell Girls in Energy Conference took place on Friday, November 18, at Woodbank House in Aberdeen and focused on bright new ideas on energy coming from the next generation.
The event which attracted 100 students from around Scotland included representatives from Peterhead Academy, Mintlaw Academy, Turriff Academy, and Banff Academy.
At the event Paul Goodfellow of Shell UK was joined by judges Deirdre Michie from Oil and Gas UK, Edel Harris of Cornerstone, Rachel Elliot from Developing the Young Workforce (DYWF) and Abbey Thomson who works at St Fergus gas plant.
The winning team, TrainGen, came up with an idea to harness the wind created by moving trains to generate electricity by placing small turbines in tunnels.
