North East Scotland College has announced Tuesday, February 4, as the date of their annual careers showcase event.

The free event is being held at the Fraserburgh Campus on Henderson Road from 6pm to 8pm and is aimed at school pupils, college students and those who are re-evaluating their careers and considering employment in the oil and gas sector, engineering, manufacturing or nautical industries.

Paul Sherrington, Depute Principal of the college, said: “We are excited to host, what has become, an eagerly awaited event.

“It is an ideal opportunity for North East companies to meet and share their dynamic recruitment needs with the emerging talent coming from schools, colleges and the workforce in the area.

“This evening is a touchstone for anyone thinking about a career in these industries whether in school, college, the armed forces or alternative professions.”

Exhibitors attending the event include ACE Winches, Aker Solutions, AMEC, Baker Hughes, Bristow Helicopters, Enermech, Fisher Offshore, Gray and Adams, Genesis Personnel, GE Oil and Gas, Halliburton, Open University, Police Scotland, Power Jacks, Royal Air Force, Royal Navy, Schlumberger and Subsea 7.
