Fraserburgh Academy was celebrating the next generation after a successful exam year when four of its pupils got straight As.
The pupils, Fiona Bruce, Kate Gillespie, Kai Lee and Douglas Watson, all achieved an impressive five Higher grade As as part of S5.
They are all now in S6 and are doing a combination of more Highers as well Advanced Highers.
Fiona, who got her grades in English, Maths, History, Geography and German, was “quite surprised, but very pleased”.
Kate, who wants to study medicine at university, said it was a “relief because anything less wouldn’t suffice for what I want to do”.
Kai, who is also thinking about a into move into medicine, said the grades were helpful because it is “good to have options”.
Douglas, who is aiming to study engineering at university, said he was “shocked” but that he needed the grades to study engineering.
They all agreed that the school was helpful, by providing extra classes after school, in helping them in their achievements.
A spokesperson for the school expressed their pride in the pupils.
“These pupils have worked hard in S5 and that work has been rewarded with excellent exam results this summer.
“These results are consistent with a steady increase and positive trend in raising attainment at Fraserburgh Academy and many other pupils have also achieved the results they need to progress to the next stages in their school and post-school careers.”
