The 3rd and 3rd A Fraserburgh Rainbows, Brownies, Guides and Senior Section raised over £1400 as part of the STV Children’s Appeal.

The Broch groups took part in Lorraine Kelly’s Ceilidh, which occurred across Scotland, as part of the charity.

The dance was on Monday, 21st September at the Broch’s Old Parish Church Centre.

The Guiders were grateful to the support from the community and those who sponsored the girls.

They also expressed their gratitude to the Trefoil Guild members who helped out on the night and to Asda Fraserburgh who provided juice and crisps for the girls on the night.

More money is expected as further donations are still to be handed in.

The funds will go towards food and warm clothes, creating training and employment opportunities, and get behind the social and emotional support for ‘those who need it most’.

Jillian Mcleod, guider in charge of the 3rd Fraserburgh Guides, said: “This has been a great opportunity for the girls to learn Scottish dances whilst raising money for such a good cause. Thank you to everyone for their kind donations.”
