At the February meeting of Fraserburgh Community Council, members had raised concerns with Councillor Michael Watt over the lighting at Fraserburgh’s Lighthouse Museum car park.
Councillor Watt reported back to the community council last week, informing them that the Lighthouse car park was not maintained by Aberdeenshire Council, but, rather, the Lighthouse Museum itself.
Community council chairman Ronnie McNab confirmed this, suggesting that the issue is something that should perhaps be raised with the Lighthouse in the future.
Councillor Watt also reported back on the coastal path in Fraserburgh, reporting that he had been in contact with the Council about warning signage, something that the Council informed him was already erected in the area.
He then spoke about the Gala Committee, informing the community council that he was pleased with how things were starting to come together for the planned Fraserburgh Gala.
A gala committee meeting is scheduled to take place tonight (Thursday) at 6:30pm at the Council Chambers.
The Community Council was also informed by Councillor Watt of the R-dog initiative, as reported by the Fraserburgh Herald last week.
