St Combs girl Jessica Thomson recently won gold at the Scottish Home Pony International.
Jessica along with three others competed in the event which took place at the Roallan Activity Centre in Kilmarnock. in the ten and under category.
Ten teams from Scotland, England, Wales and Ireland competed for gold, silver and bronze with competitors having to take part in two rounds.
After the rounds the top two teams with zero faults would jump against the clock.
In the final it was England versus Scotland with the Scotland team taking the gold. Jessica told the Herald: “I was very nervous especially when it came to the jump off.
“The English team went first and were clear with a good time so we had to go clear with a faster time so it was very exciting. When we won everybody was cheering. My pony Rambo jumped really well and is now on holiday having a break.”
Other members of the Scotland team included Zander Stormonth (Glasgow), Brodie Beveridge (Fife) and Nicole Lockhead Anderson (Deeside).
