Group gets to work sprucing up Crimond garden

A Crimond community group got to work last week to spruce up the memorial garden at Crimond church following the donation of pebbling.

The work, organised by local ladies Sheena Scott and Marilyn Henderson, is being completed with funding from the Brighter Villages initiative, which is allocated to improve the appearance of towns and villages in Buchan.

Mrs Scott informed the Herald that the work was being carried out to coincide with the Church’s 200 year anniversary, which was recently celebrated.

The memorial garden is where the Crimond War Memorial stands, commemorating the dead of World War I and II.

Donations of pebbling were made by David Smith and Kirk Myres.
