ARE you the kind of person who is trusted by those around you and spend a lot of your time listening and helping other people with their problems?
Do you have time on your hands and watn to give back to the community in a way which is both rewarding and inspiring?
If your answer to these questions is yes, would you consider joining a well-established community-minded local counselling agency?
Banff and Buchan Counselling Service (BBCS) is to ‘throw open its doors’ at 51 King Street, Peterhead, when it will welcome potential volunteer counsellors to an informal open evening on Thursday, September 13, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm to give them the opportunity to meet the staff and existing volunteers, to get a ‘feel’ for the organisation and have any questions answered.
Training, which is free of charge, will be starting in early November in Aberdeen and lasts approximately seven to eight months, running over nine weekends.
Anyone interested is invited to go along to the event, but if you are interested and cannot attend on that date, give the service a call on (01779) 470163 and staff will make alternative arrangements.
