The charity JDRF, which specialises in type 1 diabetes, is holding a ‘Type 1 Discovery Day’ on Saturday (March 4), at the Museum of Scottish Lighthouses, Stevenson Road, from 10am. There is no entry fee.
It will be an informative event offering the chance to hear speakers on all aspects of type 1 diabetes. And because meeting other people affected by type 1 is highly beneficial, the day will include time to chat to other families and meet JDRF staff.
Registration opens at 10am, and the presentations will begin at 10.30. The event will finish around 12pm. Tea, coffee and home made scones will be available.
