Wind turbines have been the topic of this week’s Fraserburgh Herald Facebook question, with readers sharing their thoughts on the their appearances in the North-east.
The views of readers taking part in the debate widely differed from one another on a number of aspects, with one reader believing them to be “ugly” whilst another, Charlie Reid, said: “they have a beauty of their own and we should have more of them, although I don’t believe that the owners of them should be subsidised, clean energy is the only way forward for Scotland.”
Craig Roger added: “I think they are wonderful, reduce our reliance on oil and gas for energy which can only be a good thing. They also look good and are quite hypnotic to look at. Anything that can reduce our carbon footprint is good.”
