Radio enthusiasts celebrated the birthday of the technology’s pioneer Guglielmo Marconi at the Fraserburgh Heritage Centre on April 23.
The Fraserburgh club was joined by members of the Aberdeen amateur club along with members of the Moray Firth amateur radio club to celebrate Marconi Day.
The clubs were able to make connections with other participating stations at home and as far away as Spain and Italy.
George Pirie, who organised the event, said: “I would like to thank all that took part, especially Colin and Derek, and our very much appreciated lady in Strichen for her home bakes.
“We all look forward to this special treat and thank you to the Heritage Centre for their support.”
