Aberdeenshire residents are to have a chance to see plans for state-of-the-art sports, leisure and community facilities in Banff and Macduff this month.
Local communities are encouraged to attend one of two public information meetings organised by Aberdeenshire Council where plans for Banff Sporting Complex and Myrus Sports Complex will be on show, having been updated to take community feedback into account.
The first meeting is on Tuesday, August 12, from 6-7:30pm at the Harvest Centre on Castle Street, Banff.
The second is on Wednesday, August 20, from 7:30-9pm in the assembly hall at Macduff Primary School.
The format of both events will be an hour of presentations with a question and answer session afterwards.
There will be another half hour to look over displays, including new artistic impressions for the site, and speak to council officers about the plans.
A programme of engagement gave hundreds of locals the opportunity to shape the vision for modern facilities in the two towns.
Full planning permission was subsequently granted for a sports and community centre, floodlighting and associated car and bus parking at Myrus Recreation Park, Macduff.
