Two highly respected and very popular North-east personalities will be taking to the stage at the Beaton Hall in Methlick on Friday, April 10, for a musical night with a difference!
Jack Webster, originally from Maud, became one of Scotland’s most noted journalists and authors in a career spanning several decades.
His writing career brought Jack in contact with some of the top names in entertainment, music and song from Bing Crosby and Bob Hope to Rodgers & Hammerstein and Ira Gershwin.
Singer, entertainer and well known host Robert Lovie will be interviewing Jack about his encounters around the world with some of the best known music and song, composers and performers from the last 80 years.
Robert will be using his coothie style to tease every possible story and anecdote from Jack that he possibly can.
The North-east double act will also be sharing with the audience a great mix of some of Jack’s favourite music and songs from a long list of recordings while they reminisce on Jack’s distinguished and highly acclaimed career.
The evening is not to be missed and a real treat for music lovers and North-east enthusiasts alike.
There will be teas, coffees and home baking. All proceeds to support Methlick Parish Church.
The event will take place from 7pm to 9.30pm on Friday, April 10.
Tickets are £10 each and are available from Costcutters, Methlick.
