Meningitis Trust celebrates 25th anniversary and aims to help even more people

Meningitis Trust is celebrating a quarter of a century in the UK and is looking to help more people.

The national charity is looking for people to join in with its anniversary celebrations this October, by filling up their collection buckets to support the thousands of people struck by meningitis each year with a target of helping raise £25,000.

The Meningitis Trust is planning a nationwide bucket collection across the UK for its 25th anniversary, for volunteers up and down the country to join in the celebrations in their community.

With just a couple of hours of your time you will make a difference; bucket collections are a way to raise funds, and raise awareness of the disease and the Trust’s support.

Jo Killick, Community Development Officer at the Trust, says: “This is a fantastic and fun way to celebrate our anniversary.

“Whilst raising lots of money to make a huge difference to the lives of people affected by meningitis.

“Each collector will be given ‘top hints and tips’ for collecting, guidance notes and all the necessary materials. You won’t be alone as there will be other volunteers and supporters from the Trust helping out too.”

If you have a few hours and want to be part of the Meningitis Trust’s biggest collection ever, contact the Events Hotline on 0845 120 4530 or email and leave your full contact details (including postal and email address).
