Mrs M. Cruden, president, welcomed everyone and fellow members from Maud WRI to the April meeting of Mintlaw WRI.
Apologies were given and minutes read. Business was dealt with an then yearly reports were given by the treasure, minutes secretary and president before Mrs Cruden handed the evening over to Maud WRI.
The ladies gave a very interesting evening including songs, stories, a quiz, sketch and paintings, before a welcome cup of tea.
Results of the new committee were read out as follows:
President - Mrs M. Brown; vice-president - Mrs F. Pringle; business secretary - Mrs S. Dargie.
Treasurer - Mrs A. Duncan; minutes and press secretary - Mrs E. Lamb; magazine and competitions - Mrs M. Cruickshank.
Tea convener - Mrs F. Rafferty; raffles - Mrs A. Hendry, and the delegate is Mrs M. Cruickshank.
The monthly competitions resulted as follows:
Syllabus - 1 Mrs E. Lamb, 2 F. Pringle, 3 F. Rafferty.
Two tray bakes - 1 L. Low, 2 S. Dargie, 3 F. Rafferty.
As the evening was coming to a close with tea served, raffles drawn and the vote of thanks by Mrs M. Brown, things were handed over to Mrs M. Cruden who wished everyone - the new president and her committee - all the best for the next year.
She also wished everyone a safe journey home, bringing a very enjoyable evening to an end.
