A Fraserburgh councillor has called for improvements to be made to the changing rooms and pitches at James Ramsay Park.
Councillor Brian Topping has spoken to the Fraserburgh Herald about a number of upgrades he would like to see at the popular park in Fraserburgh.
Cllr Topping said that the state of the pitches there was below standard and the changing rooms were deplorable and well past their sell-by date.
The Fraserburgh and District councillor also said he believes the changing rooms have not been checked by the council for a number of years.
Commenting, Cllr Topping said: “The state of these rooms is beyond a joke. They should be checked every year.
“They need to get these buildings checked to see what’s required to bring them up to standard rather than leave them and let them get to the point where it will cost much more to repair.
“Lots of teams use these facilities and it’s just not good enough.”
