Work to solve the ponding problems at Waters of Philorth has recently been undertaken.
Councillor Ian Tait had raised the issue of potholes and problematic surfaces at the popular tourist spot with the local authority and was delighted when work got underway on December 12.
Cllr Tait said: “The work involved replacing some of the existing log edges and creating some more parking spaces as well as resurfacing some of the areas to reduce the amount of ‘ponding’ that is occurring. “This work is part of the Landscape Services 2014/15 Revenue Programme.”
He added: “I am very impressed with the extra parking .
“When I initially spoke to officers, I said I thought there should be more parking and they have certainly lived up to that so I am delighted with the works so far.
“They will shortly be moving on to do the parking area near the turning circle so that will be a big improvement too.”
