A drop-in event is to be held in Fraserburgh to allow local residents to have their say on the proposed Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan.
Local people will be able to share their views on the future of the area at the event, which is being held from 1pm to 7pm on Tuesday, April 14, at the Fraserburgh Community Centre.
The Aberdeenshire Local Development Plan is due to be published tomorrow (Friday, March 27), with members of the public being invited to give their feedback on the Plan during a six-week period which ends on May 8.
The Drop In Event in Fraserburgh is one of 11 consultation events being held throughout Aberdeenshire during this consultation process.
Local representatives are now urging local residents in Fraserburgh to have their say.
Commenting, Fraserburgh councillor Charles Buchan said: “
George Esslemont, secretary of Fraserburgh Community Council, commented: “It’s something that as many people as possible should get involved in.
“The townspeople need to get involved, the more people the better - it’s very important for the town.
“It’s vital that people come forward and stress any concerns they might have.
“We want to encourage businesses to come up here but they can’t because of a lack of industrial land - there’s very little of it in Fraserburgh,” he added.
