A rare historic document, featuring handwritten notes by Robert Louis Stevenson, will be brought up from York today (Friday) by Lucius Books.
It’s not destined for a museum or to be exhibited as part of a show, but offered for sale at the PBFA/ABA Edinburgh Book Fair, being held at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Edinburgh from midday today.
The RLS Museum in America have intimated on the Edinburgh Book Fair Facebook page that the document should remain in the public domain, and has appealed for a benefactor.
Though it is impossible to say whether the manuscript will sell, it’s presence in the city makes it a must see.
The Robert Louis Stevenson Club are exhibiting today as guests of the PBFA, so there will be other rare works by the author available at the fair.
