Grampian Police are appealing for information as to the whereabouts of a registered sex offender who has been reported missing.
Derek Robertson, 46, was last seen in Aberdeen on February 24 and his present whereabouts are unknown.
Robertson was convicted of indecent assault at Forfar High Court in December 2003, and was sentenced to 54 months imprisonment. He is now alleged to have failed to comply with registration requirements, and a warrant has been granted for his arrest. Grampian Police Detective Chief Inspector Martin Dunn said “We have contacted our colleagues nationally along with partner agencies.
“No recent sightings of Robertson have been reported and we issue this appeal to the public to assist us in tracing him following a warrant having been issued for his arrest. I urge anyone with any information about Robertson or of his current whereabouts to contact us.”
Anyone with information can contact Grampian Police on 0845 600 5700 or alternatively Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
