As of 11:30am the following roads are closed across the North East.

Police Scotland are advising that there is a high risk of disruption, and advise caution on all routes due to surface water and flooding, particularly in the Deeside and Donside areas and around the Mearns.

People are only advised to travel if it is essential as conditions will remain hazardous as temperatures drop.

B974 Banchory-Fettercairn, flooding on the low section south of Strachan Bridge

B976 Ballater-Banchory, South Deeside Road at Inchmarnoch Bridge due to damage.

The road is closed between the B968 junction from Aboyne west to Ballater - closed to allow for emergency repair

B976 between Dinnet Bridge and Aboyne Bridge - closed to allow for emergency repair

B979 between Hatton of Fintray and Blackburn

B993 between Inverurie and Whiterashes

B9005 Methlick to Ythanbank

B974 between Marykirk and the A90

B9170 Inverurie to Oldmeldrum, near to Portstown Farm

A920 Huntly to Dufftown, at Dummuir turnoff, following a landslip

B9119 Crossroads to Ordie, Tarland, at Leys between Tarland and Ordie

B979 Westhill to Peterculter, impassable due to significant localised flooding

A947 Newmachar-Oldmeldrum, at Parkhill Bridge, closed in both directions due to flooding and vehicles are stuck
