Pupils of the 1961 class at Fraserburgh Central School will meet tomorrow evening for dinner at the Ban-Car Hotel with some flying in from as far as the Philippines to attend.
The reunion night is the brainchild of three former classmates who thought it was about time to get the group back together again.
Rab Ritchie, one of the organisers, said: "Over two years ago I, along with two female former classmate helpers Marilyn Wilken and Isobel Stephen started to try to track down everyone in an old school photograph.
"We all become 65 sometime this year, some of us have already reached there, so we thought it was a significant time to have a reunion."
Thirty-four people will sit down to dinner, including the former classmates, some partners and some of the groups old teachers - sadly four members of the class have passed away.
Mr Ritchie said: "Miss Ishbel McRobbie now Mrs McAllum is able to join us accompanied by her husband and our former gym teacher Mr Stanley Green is also able to join us on Saturday night."
Mr Ritchie also said that there were travelling long distances to attend the evening including Mr & Mrs Richard Walker who are returning from the Philippines tomorrow.
He said: "It's the day if the function so let's hope their flight isn't delayed.
