A full-scale search has resumed for a teenager believed to have fallen from Arbroath Cliffs.
A coastguard helicopter, lifeboat and police were among those who took part in the operation to find the 18-year-old.
Emergency services were alerted around 1pm on Saturday and were stood down when light failed last night
Chief Inspector David McIntosh said extensive searches were carried out along the coastline and the water.
He adeed: “Our main priority remains locating the missing teenager.
“We are liaising closely with his family and are offering them support at this difficult time.”
