The Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile in Fraserburgh is just two weeks away and Sunday March 25 is set to be an unforgettable day.
Many local people have already signed up, but there’s still time to get your place! Setting off from Body Tech Gym at James Ramsey park the Fraserburgh Mile is set to be an incredible event. All the money raised by the public will help people living unimaginably tough lives right here on our doorstep, across the rest of the UK and in some of the world’s poorest countries.
Gillian Strachan from Jog Scotland said: “The Fraserburgh RED mile is set to be an amazing event. It’s fantastic that so many people of Fraserburgh are gathering together to show their support for Sport Relief 2012. But we want this to be the best Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile yet – so raise your game, enter the RED mile today and join the rest of the nation to raise plenty of cash for an incredible cause!
“We have lots of fun and activities organised for both adults and children. We will have a fire engine on location, Adele Grieve will be piping on the route and we also have a balloon magician for the kids. We hope to have the Glpbal Rock group from Fraserburgh Academy along with some dancers from dance studio 6.1.0. There will be refreshment’s supplied at the finish along with Peters Ices who have also agreed to be there.”
Participants can choose their own distance, from 1, 3 or 6 miles, and can complete it in any way they fancy. From teeny tots with their mums and dads, to super sprinters up against the clock, there’s something for everyone on the big day. Sport Relief has a unique history of dedicated people doing extraordinary things to go the extra mile. Enter the Sainsbury’s Sport Relief Mile now at sportrelief.com.
