A St Combs woman has raised £1,300 for Peterhead Rescue Hall after her husband attended rehab sessions put on by the hall.
Margaret Dunbar organised a fundraiser in aid of the cardiac rehab service to go towards new exercise equipment for patients.
The fundraiser, called Ladies in Red, was held at the end of December at the Tufted Duck in St Combs by Mrs Dunbar and 120 of her friends.
The theme was chosen after Mrs Dunbar’s husband attended sessions at the hall and the money has been received by NHS Grampian’s Endowment Fund.
An NHS Grampian spokesperson said: “This donation is very gratefully received and it will go towards helping patients who attend rehabilitation classes after a heart attack or surgery.
“The eight week course of sessions help build confidence and improve patients’ quality of life.”
