A St. Combs youngster has raised more than £900 for Cancer Research following a successful fundraising effort.
Stefan Buchan (10), recently handed over a cheque to Janette Clark who is one of the organisers of the Cancer Research UK coffee mornings which are held annually in Inverallochy.
Stefan decided that he wanted to raise money for Cancer research after seeing a programme on TV.
He started off his fundraising efforts by selling cupcakes to friends and family.
He then decided to hold weekly soup and sweet events for a few months.
Stefan said that he enjoyed doing the fundraising and hopes that the money will be put to good use in the search for a cure for cancer.
He has expressed thanks to everyone who went along to the fundraisers and for their kind donations to such a deserving cause.
Thanks to supporters like Stefan, Cancer Research UK has saved millions of lives by discovering new ways to prevent, diagnose and treat cancer.
Over the past century its researchers have made consistent progress in the fight against cancer, and survival rates have doubled over the past 40 years.
