Balmoral Castle in the stunning Deeside countryside will be the venue for a forthcoming skills course.
The two-day course on conserving, repairing and maintaining traditional windows is being run by the Scottish Traditional Skills Training Centre at Balmoral's joiners workshop.
It will offer an important insight for joiners, architects and construction professionals, as well as owners of traditional buildings and council planning and maintenance staff.
Traditional windows form an important feature of Scotland's built heritage and if regularly maintained and correctly repaired, sash and case, as well as other traditional windows, can provide outstanding service for decades - if not centuries.
Instructor Daniel Watson, the clerk of works at Balmoral Estate is a highly knowledgeable and experienced joiner.
Dr. Marc Ellington of the Scottish Traditional Skills Training Centre said: "The breadth of knowledge and skills Daniel has gained in meeting the conservation, repair and maintenance requirements of a wide range of Traditional Buildings will be of immense benefit to the delivery of the course."
Numbers are limited to 12 at a cost of £175 per person. To book your place email email@example.com or call 01888 511347.
