A group of travellers who had set up camp at the Fraserburgh Beach carpark over the weekend have now moved on from Fraserburgh.
The travellers arrived at the carpark of the Fraserburgh Beach esplanade last Friday night, staying there until Monday evening.

There were unconfirmed reports that the group had then moved to the carpark of Deejays Nightclub on Monday night but left the carpark by Tuesday afternoon.
Commenting, Fraserburgh councillor Charles Buchan said: “I was very disappointed to find out that a large group of travellers had encamped themselves, their work vans, and their caravans, right in the middle of Fraserburgh Beach Promenade, with complete disregard to the amenity of visitors, and motorists, blocking the road, and even occupying the disabled parking spaces, and subsequently I am very pleased that they have now left town.
“The travellers are taking advantage of equality legislation, but they are business people, taking advantage of the lack of overheads to give them a competitive advantage in pricing their services, overheads such as rent and local taxes, that local settled businesses have to pay.”
