Two men have been rescued from a fishing boat that was taking on water in the North Sea off the coast of Fraserburgh.
Fraserburgh RNLI and a coastguard helicopter were called out to the incident about four miles out to sea with two other boats in the area also attending.
The two men were rescued from a life raft in the water after getting off the vessel themselves.
A Maritime and Coastguard agency spokesperson said: “There were two people on board and they said they were going to get off the boat.”
They added: “The people on the fishing vessel had a life raft so they are safe and well.
The fishing vessel is still thought to be afloat and will be towed back to Fraserburgh Harbour.
