A local Fraserburgh man has won a vintage car at the Strathmore Vintage Vehicle Club annual raffle.
The lucky man Darren Watt received his first prize winnings of a MG BGT. Vice Chairman of the Strathmore Vintage Vehicle club Stephen Dear told the Herald that it wasn’t the first time that the car raffled had returned to Fraserburgh area after being at the vintage car rally.
He said : “The MG BGT was won by a Mr Watt from Fraserburgh, he purchased the winning ticket at the Fraserburgh vintage car rally. Our club source and purchase a car every year for the raffle to raise awareness of our own event, the Scottish Transport Extravaganza and to raise funds for our club. The Fraserburgh rally is always one of our favourites and infact the car we raffled three years ago also came back to Fraserburgh. The hunt for a suitable car for next year has already started as we hope to be out and about selling tickets at the last few rallies of the year.”
