A national litter pick initiative is coming to an Aberdeenshire town this month.

As part of Scotland’s National Spring Clean event, the Banff and Buchan ranger and the Buchan Countryside Group are seeking volunteers to help remove and record the rubbish collected on Fraserburgh beach.

The event starts at 11am on Saturday, April 28, and those wishing to take part are advised to wear appropriate clothing and footwear.

Gloves and rubbish bags will be provided.

There are currently 41 events scheduled in Aberdeenshire for the event, with 2026 volunteers already signed up.
