X-Factor will be coming to Fraserburgh this September as past contestants of the hit television programme play a charity gig in the town.
Tom Bleasby, Kerrianne Covell and Michael Rice, who have all starred on the show to varying levels of success, will play the Leisure Centre show run by cancer charity Milesformen.
Milesformen was started in 2012 in Hartlepool and hosts events that raise money for cancer charities across the UK.
Kevin Hill, Milesformen Director and Events Manager, previously lived in the Fraserburgh area and wanted to take one of their events to Scotland.
Mr Hill said: “I used to live in Sandhaven and I know a lot of people up there so I asked the charity if they wanted to go and raise money for the north of Scotland and the people up there.
“We are looking to perhaps work with CLAN and make some money for families up there to help them along and maybe send them away somewhere on a trip.”
Tickets for the show go on sale this Friday and Mr Hill believes it will be a extremely worthwhile night.
He said: “I just think it’s going to be a brilliant event, these people are very good singers and it’s been selling out down here.
“I’m looking forward to coming there and it will be good for the community.”
Mr Hill said that his charity is always on the look out for local people who his charity can help, especially children, and are open to suggestions.
He said: “Locals and kids who are going through chemo, we just want to give them a little surprise and put a smile on their face.
“I hope that people in Fraserburgh and the surrounding area will come out and support us.”
A specially designed cake in the shape f a fishing boat will also be raffled off on the night and the event will be hosted by Les Watts.
Mr Hill said: “He’s a fun guy and the crowd will love him.”
