Six reindeer will be seen dashing their way down the Broch’s streets this December with Santa’s sleigh in tow as part of the Christmas season.

Four adults and two calves will make their way down High Street as part of the festive parade to take place on December 4 - the same evening as late night shopping.

Emma-Jayne May, from organiser Oor Braw Broch said: “The parade’s going to start at the top of High Street at 6 o’clock and go down on to Broad Street.

“The reindeer will be in broad Street until 9pm.”

The arrival of the reindeer is another boost for Christmas in Fraserburgh after Oor Braw Broch raised enough money to put up both a Christmas tree and lights this holiday season.

Emma-Jayne said: “The Christmas tree should be going up the Monday after the 4th but the lights should be up in time for late night shopping.”

Fraserburgh was also chosen this year to play host to the Coca-Cola Christmas truck which will be parked outside The Saltoun Inn on November 21.
