Fraserburgh Academy are hosting Young Musician of the Year on Wednesday March 16 when talented local musicians will perform to the audience.
Thirteen young musicians from Fraserburgh Academy will compete to be named Young Musician of the Year and win the fantastic trophy and excellent cash prizes on offer from the Rotary Club. One of the pupils who will be performing at the event told the Herald: “I have played the piano for 9 years and am studying higher music, I really enjoy music and find it a really good interest, I am looking forward to performing in the competition.”
Ed Walton, Principle Teacher of the Faculty of Performing Arts at the Academy stated: “This is a highly competitive event and gives the pupils an excellent start in a musical career, it provides the best inspiration possible and a generous hand toward careers and futures in the world of music.”
Fraserburgh Academy are giving local people the perfect opportunity to see the talented pupils perform, to see the stars of tomorrow as they develop, and show their support for local music. The event starts at 7 pm and tickets are available now from Fraserburgh Academy and priced at £5 per ticket with refreshments provided throughout the evening.
