Fraserburgh suffered a 1-2 defeat to reigning champions Brora Rangers over the weekend leaving the Broch side in 12th position in the Highland League.
Brora Rangers bounced back after being beaten by top of the league Cove Rangers with two goals within minutes of either side of half-time.
A penalty, scored by player-manager Richard Brittain, was awarded two minutes before the break after Marc Dickson fouled Paul Brindle in the box.
And then just two minutes after the break, Farserburgh found themselves two goals down when a Paul Brindle volley found the back of the net from a Ally Macdonald cross.
Fraserburgh managed to pull one back with a Steven Davidson header, but it was not enough and Brora Rangers held on to take all three points.
Fraserburgh failed to take advantage of the game after Brora lost Grant Munro, who had to leave the pitch midway through the first half with a cut over his eye after a clash of heads, substituted by Martin Maclean.
Fraserburgh will visit Inverness on September 9 to play Clachnacuddin.
