Colony Park Round-Up

COLONY Locos took on Huntly 95’s at the Garioch Sports Centre.

Colony started strongest, with LAWRENCE hitting a fantastic shot into the top corner. Huntly pulled one back just before half-time, but TURRIFF and BATTENSBY gave Colony a 3-1 victory.

Colony Colts 19s picked up a point with a hard fought 2-2 draw with Dee BC, MUNRO and STEWART on target for the Colts.

Colony Park U17s took on Cove on a dreadful pitch at Hazelhead, finding themselves two down at half-time. CAMPBELL scored twice to level, but Cove scored again to take all three points.

Colony Colts U17s title hopes were dented by a 2-0 defeat by Fraserburgh Link-Up.

Colony Park U16s were at home to Glentanar, and went behind on the 13th minute. HARPER equalised before Glentanar added a second. RENNIE and WHYTE gave Colony the lead, but the home side lost two late goals to go down 4-3.

Colony Park U15s travelled to Dyce and found themselves four down at the interval. Despite losing a fifth in the second half Colony were unfortunate not to get a few goals back.

Colony Park U14s faced Culter in the last eight of the SR Wood Trophy, and despite a decent performance, lost out 5-0.

Colony Colts U14s faced local rivals Kintore in another hard fought encounter, losing out 4-1, with GRAY on the score-sheet for Colony.

Colony Park U13s welcomed Westdyke BC in the Colony Park Cup semi-final. The home side were four down at half-time, and despite creating numerous chances in the second, couldn’t find the net.

Colony Colts U13s found Culter too strong at Aulton, going down 8-0.
