Fraserburgh United have been awarded gold by the Scotch Pie Club for their football pies in their 2013 awards ceremony.
The pies, which are supplied by Bruce of the Broch, took gold in the football pie section, with other clubs awarded a gold being Falkirk FC and St Mirren FC, who both have their pies supplied by Pars Foods Ltd.
Celtic FC was awarded a speciality gold award for their chicken balti pie, made by Pars Foods Ltd.
Meanwhile, Forres Mechanics FC was announced as having the best pie in Scottish Football.
Commenting on the success, Alistair Bruce said:”It’s really good to win this award. We’re delighted to win this.
“It’s a boost for the town as well.
“The chairman of one of the junior teams said it was one of the best pies had tasted anywhere.”
This latest award is the 40th Bruce of the Broch have won for the pies.
