Hearts were missing so many players but still had the team to win the game but again gave goals away which cost them dear.

To score three away from home and come away with nothing was disappointing for the visitors and Hearts’ defence needs to wise up and stop gifting the opposition goals.

Hearts had gone to Fraserburgh United for a Division 1 East match in blustery conditions and with several players injured.

Early exchanges were even and then a Gatt long ball eluded the United defence and Dane Ballard was through.

Unfortunately his shot hit the post and Alex Davidson could not follow up

Then United took the lead with a fluke goal when a ball into the box from Reid eluded everyone and found the net.

Hearts then equalised with a good goal when Bruce found Park and his cross was shot home by Ballard.

Soon after Jamie Clark should have scored but he screwed his header wide from six yards out.

Hearts them lost Richie Ligertwood to an ankle injury. He was replaced by Graeme Robinson who has himself been out for six weeks.

But Hearts then shot themselves in the foot when they failed to clear their lines and Donaldson gave the ball away for Bisset to shoot into an empty net.

Just before the break Davidson shot over the bar.

United extended their lead just after half time when Bisset picked up the ball and ran through to shoot past Gatt.

He repeated the feat after some poor defending and took the score to an impressive but deserved 4-1.

Hearts pulled themselves back into the game when a Clark header found Robinson who headed past Dunbar for 4-2.

Hearts then made it 4-3 when a Ballard ball found Robinson again who scored easily.

Soon after Kevin Cunningham replaced Jordan Clark.

Hearts should have equalised when Ballard found Robinson whose cross was hit net bound by Cunningham but somehow Dunbar kept it out.

Hearts’ next game is away to Colony Park. KP 2pm.
