The Highland League welcomed a new chairman to club side Clachnacuddin last month, Brian Urquhart stepping down from the role to focus on family and work commitments.
The club had announced the news on their official website, Dennis Bridgeford the man appointed to the role by Clach’s board.
At his first board meeting, Mr Bridgeford said: “‘It’s business as usual with the continued emphasis on tight fiscal management along with the policy of bringing through players from both youth and North Caledonian teams.
“Brian is an exceedingly tough act to follow but with hard work and support from coaching staff, directors and committee we will continue to drive the Club forward.
“We have fantastic supporters, helpers and sponsors and look forward to their continued support, we have important games to add to our points total before the end of the season and prepare for a new campaign.”
On Mr Urquhart’s contribution to the club over the years, he continued: “Brian was a fantastic chairman who saw the club through the dark days five years ago, that has to be credited to him, I hope to build on that legacy.”
Clachnacuddin, who last won the Highland League in the the 2003-04 season, are currently mid-table, with a fixture against Fraserburgh to play this Saturday (April 12).
