The British Masters long course event took place on the 12th/13th and 14th of June in Manchester, with Broch ASC swimmer Alan Rennie traveling down to take part.
The standard of swimming was high with past Olympians and Commonwealth participants taking part including a silver medalist from Glasgow 2014.
Alan competed in the 200 Back stroke on day one in which he managed to collect a bronze medal.
On day 2 he competed in the 200 IM, 100 and 50 Breaststroke in which he faired well finishing 7th, 6th and 13th.
On the final day he competed in the 100 back and 200 Breaststroke in which he just missed out on anther medal for the Back and finished 6th in the Breaststroke.
This was Alan’s first experience of a British event and he performed well, with the highlights being collecting a bronze medal in the 200 Back Stroke and achieving 4 European master qualifying times for London next year.
