Fraserburgh Amatuer Swimming Club enjoyed a festive end to the season with a Christmas party night as well as some swimming.
Head coach Sarah Burkinshaw reported, starting with the ‘santa sprints’ swims: “We had some fast swimming with many of our younger swimmers showing so much improvement. We are so proud of them all .
“Our fundraising ladies - Sarah W, Kay and Diane raised a fantastic sum with their Christmas hampers and my thanks to everyone who supported and bought raffles.
“Once again Broch ASC Team work at its best - to everyone who came along and officiated - judges - time keepers - ladies who provided poolside refreshments.
“Thanks also to Pauline and Jaclyn for organising the officials , Karen B for keeping her cool while trying to track down the younger swimmers for marshalling and Mandi for organising the ice cream.
“Special thanks also to Michael for coming along and being our starter, we are so lucky to have enough volunteers to make our meets accredited.”
Following the swimming, it was the turn of some members of the committee and coaches to enjoy a meal at The Pitsligo Arms.
“I hope everyone enjoyed our Christmas party night.
“The buffet as always was above and beyond .
“Thanks to everyone who once again contributed to providing another great party night for our hard-working swimmers.”
