Final game for Fraserburgh

Kinnaird and Fraserburgh lock horns on Sunday in their final Robertson Motors Super League fixture of the season.

Sunday’s fixture is being jointly sponsored by Robertson Motors who are supporting the man of the match award, whilst Ladbrokes will provide a £100 free bet voucher for Sunday’s top player.

Sunday’s match is being staged in the Elizabethan Bar with a starting time of 1pm.

Supporters are most welcome to attend.

Kinnaird, who are sure to be boosted by their recent win over West Aberdeen, retain the same squad for the match, whilst Fraserburgh, who require a win to maintain their slim chances of acquiring runners-up spot in the table, are also on similar lines from their last outing when they defeated Mid Deeside.

Going into Sunday’s final fixture, Fraserburgh skipper Colin Robertson leads the chase for the Bert Fowlie Cup (player of the year) with an average of 27.89.

He is followed closely by Graham Whyte (27.77) and Jamie Hagen (27.74).

Other players in the hunt include Alan Smith (27.02), Gary Hagen (26.12), Mike Forbes (25.90), Scott Robertson (25.23), Charlie Simpson (25.15) and RIchard Duthie (25.13).

The top eight players following Sunday’s match will be granted seeding positions for the Dick’s Sports Super League Singles, which is to be held in the Bellslea Bar on Saturday, May 26.

The prize presentations will also take place at the Bellslea Bar on May 26.

A fund raising night is also planned to take place on Saturday, June 16, in the Clansman Entertainment Complex.

‘S’ take title number two!

In the Fraserburgh and District Pool League, Bellslea ‘S’ defeated the Ark Tigers 10-4 in their final league match of the season to lift the league title for the second season in a row.

The Legion pushed them all the way, however, finishing just two points behind after they beat the Elizabethan 11-3 in their final league match.

Bellslea finished third with a 10-4 defeat of the Tudor Bar in their final match.

Eight-ball clearances last week were completed by Thomas Bannon of the Bellslea ‘S’, and Kris Manett of the Bellslea.

Tonight’s fixtures are: Bellslea ‘S’ Vs. Bellslea in the Charity Shield final, and Bancar Vs. Tudor bar in the first match in the Consolation Cup.
