Grampian thrash Tayside

Grampian Air Rifle Club hosted a friendly competition with Tayside Air Rifle Club last weekend in the first leg of their warm-ups before the SARPA HFT season gets going in earnest.

Tayside was soundly beaten on the day as Grampian won gold in all the classes entered.

Star of the day was Pamela Barclay who beat the current Scottish Ladies Champion, Kathleen Male. This is the second time she has beat Kathleen, and in only her second competition.

The rising star of the club is young Sophie McGill who, in her first competition, at age of 10, won gold in her class.

1st Dale Harris – Grampian 55/60

2nd Scott Robertson – Grampian 51/60

3rd Bill Howie – Grampian 50/60

2nd Kathleen Male – Tayside 44/60

The return leg is at Tayside Airgun Club on Sunday, February 17, when the Grampian side, current holders of the trophy, are hoping to complete the double.

Grampian Air Rifle Club is a fun, family orientated club for all ages and experience where you can learn to shoot in a safe environment with tuition from experienced shooters.
