South Park Primary School will have a relay team taking part at Brodies School Swimming Championships on January 30 at Tollcross.

There will be four girls (pictured left to right) representing the school - Lisa Marie Calder, Ally Wiseman, Emma Simpson and Morgan Reid.

The girls qualified for the tournament after competing in an area time trial in Fraserburgh.

As a result of the time trial the girls were placed in the top 20 for the whole of Scotland, earning themselves a place in the championships.

The girls are all members of Broch ASC and have said that they are looking forward to swimming at Tollcross for the first time and that they are proud to be representing South Park Primary School.

Anyone interested in joining Broch ASC competitively, fitness or masters are asked to contact their head coach Sarah Burkinshaw on 07800 991943 or email [email protected]

Arlene Thoirs, who is heavily involved with the swim team, said: “With such an outstanding last year the Broch look forward to seeing what we can achieve this year.”
