Hundreds flocked to the Leisure Centre on Saturday, despite the wind and rain, for the main day of this year’s fantastic Fraserburgh Gala.
Throughout the Gala week, there was a host of events for all age groups - including a sandcastle competition, a fancy dress competition and disco, a tea dance, gala prize bingo, a Dance Revolution night and, of course, adults’ and children’s versions of ‘It’s A Knockout!’, which kicked the whole week off.
Then, at the stroke of 12noon on Saturday, the main day of the Gala began with the sound of the Deveron River Brass Band.
Due to the rain and blustery weather conditions, the decision was taken to hold the Gala indoors at the Leisure Centre - but this did little to dampen the spirits of those who joined in the fun.
For younger visitors, there was a bouncy castle, a gladiators’ ring and face painting.
