The Museum of Scottish Lighthouses is looking forward to opening on Sunday, April 1, with new Business Manager Gary Campbell at the helm who is looking forward to running the Lighthouse.
Mr Campbell has been working for English Heritage and has previously been involved in a number of tourism, leisure and heritage projects.
George McRae, Chair of the Board of Trustees said: “I am looking forward to Gary leading the team at the Lighthouse.
“His background in heritage and leisure will bring a new dimension to the exhibits and he has exciting ideas for promoting the Museum.”
The Lighthouse Museum’s cafe will again be open this season with a limited range of drinks and snacks, hoping to develop of the coming weeks to provide quality meals using the best in local produce.
Fraserburgh and District Councillor, Brian Topping, said of the Lighthouse Museum’s opening:: “Come along to the open day on April Fools’ day and tell us how we can make the Lighthouse better for you to visit again and again.”

Elsewhere, the Fraserburgh Heritage Centre will open on Sunday, April 1, too, following an ongoing fund raising effort to ensure that it would survive for another season.
