Banff and Buchan College students will showcase their work in creative arts and floristry at the annual students exhibition on May 30 and 31.
The event will take place in the atrium of the newly refurbished main college campus on Henderson Road, Fraserburgh. This exhibition is open to the public and there will be opportunities to purchase unique pieces from the exhibits.
Sandra Wilson, Curriculum Leader said: “This year the exhibition contains examples work from across the curriculum from Foundation and Advanced Skills to HNC Art and Design, HNC Computer Art and Design and our Floristry and Horticulture students.”
The exhibition will have the private viewing for invited guests on Tuesday, May 29, when it will be officially opened following the College Student Awards presentations. Each mainstream course awards a ‘Best Student’ and ‘Most Improved Student’, and there is also an award for ‘Best Exhibit in the Show’, announced on the opening night. The awards will be presented by local award winning artist and sculptor Carn Standing.
Members of the public are invited to view the exhibition on May 30 and 31, from 10am ‘till 7pm, when a range of daily demonstrations will take place including portrait painting, ceramics, floristry, textiles and photography.
