A Broadway and West End phenomenon is now headed to the North-east this summer, set to show in Fraserburgh’s own Dalrymple Hall.

In the lead up to ‘Avenue Q’ making its Fraserburgh debut, Fraserburgh’s own Junior Arts Society will be hosting open auditions for the production this month.

Craig Roger, director, said: “The show is based around the lives of a cast of puppets living on Avenue Q, a fictional street in New York.

“Great songs and hilarious scenes make this a great show to see and to be in. We look forward to seeing our talented local people at the auditions.”

Auditions for ‘Avenue Q’, which deals with adult issues like race and sexuality, albeit in a quirky ‘Sesame Street’-style, with puppets and humans side-by-side, take place on Tuesday, April 1, at the Dalyrmple Hall at 7:30pm.

The Junior Arts Society is looking for people over the age of 16 to take part only, due to the nature of the show.
