The Café at Aden is joining forces with the Aden Cinema initiative to offer visitors Indian inspired evening of food and film in Aden Country Park.
Film goers are to be treated with the heart-warming sequel ‘The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’, complemented by a curry by The Café at Aden on Saturday 4th July.
The Indian inspired evening starts at 5pm in The Café at Aden where a menu of coconut chicken and vegetarian curry, basmati rice, naan and raita will be offered.
This will be followed by lemon pot with shortbread and berry compote, followed by tea, coffee and fudge.
There is also the opportunity to have a drink with you meal through the Bring Your Own Bottle scheme.
The evening continues at 7.30pm in the Aden Theatre, within the Aberdeenshire Farming Museum, where the critically acclaimed ‘The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ will be shown.
The story of the film continues where the first film left off, Sonny (Dev Patel) has now begun his dream of expanding his business with ‘The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’, but it’s hard to balance running a hotel with planning a wedding.
With the first hotel proving a huge success, he needs to buy another to accommodate new guests Guy (Richard Gere) and Lavinia (Tamsin Grieg), while Evelyn (Judi Dench) and Douglas (Bill Nighy) have joined the workforce.
Chaos ensues as the attempt to plan a traditional Indian wedding threatens to engulf them all.
Also starring Maggie Smith, ‘The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel’ is a charming ensemble comedy which brings fresh faces to the series.
Tickets for the food and film event are £20 each, alternatively if you just want to see the film tickets are £5 each, and can either be bought online or from the Aden Craft & Gift Shop in the Aden Country Park.
Due to the limited size of The Café at Aden, and Aden Theatre we would advise purchasing tickets ahead of performance to avoid disappointment.
